NADP-Converge-2025

September marks more than the change of seasons at SKYGEN. We always look forward to taking part in CONVERGE, the National Association of Dental Plan’s (NADP) annual conference. NADP is more than a trade association—it’s a community of professionals from all areas of the dental industry, and all personally invested in improving access to quality dental care in the U.S.

CONVERGE is a cornerstone event in dental and our chance to be in person with the peers and partners we’ve collaborated with all year through NADP’s volunteer-led workgroups and commissions. CONVERGE 2025, held last week in Indian Wells, CA, was also a chance for SKYGEN to shine:

  • We unveiled the 2026 SKYGEN Pulse Report: Broker Perspectives. The third in SKYGEN’s annual Pulse research series, the 2026 Pulse Report: Broker Perspectives reveals what brokers look for in a carrier, how they make recommendations, and where payers can build trust and enhance support. SKYGEN Chief Marketing Officer Don Polite moderated a panel discussion on the findings from research with 500 dental and vision brokers. 2026 Pulse provides exclusive, broker-driven insights that will help payers strengthen partnerships, differentiate their offerings, and accelerate business growth. Explore the full findings here.

  • We showcased next-gen dental credentialing and provider directories. John Schaak, SKYGEN Chief Innovation Officer, brought the power of SKYGEN Dental Hub to life for NADP attendees. John’s NADP Demo Zone sessions illustrated how Dental Hub’s unique centralized, automated processes is saving payers and providers time and money by transforming dental credentialing and provider directories. The Hub’s unique credentialing service with its fully digital and dynamic application verifies critical data points before the application is even submitted.  Primary source verification (and, optionally, committee review) is completed by SKYGEN – one time – for all payers. And then, SKYGEN aligns each provider’s recredentialing cycle across payers.

The Hub similarly transforms the management of provider directory and payment information through a fully self-service provider experience.  Provider information is updated as providers perform their daily work at the Dental Hub, with no need to call or email payers, or to update a separate, third-party database. Their information is then immediately available to all of their participating payer partners via APIs. Learn more!

  • SKYGEN was recognized with three NADP honors. SKYGEN CMO Don Polite and Client Experience Executive Shanna Madden were honored individually for their volunteer service on NADP workgroups with the Evelyn Ireland Volunteer Award. In addition, SKYGEN received the NADP Longevity Award for 20 years of actively partnering with NADP to advance its mission.

  • SKYGEN Hosted Tuesday Night’s Let the Stars Align Reception. We had our largest turnout yet as we welcomed industry friends old and new to relax under the stars with good food and great conversations. It turned out to be a magical night as the strolling magician entertained everyone, creating some laughs and unexpected moments. We also saw stars—literally— as expert astronomers guided some unique desert stargazing through high-powered telescopes. SKYGEN also sponsored Monday night’s Opening Reception.

  • We treated our friends and peers to a relaxing chair massage. The complimentary chair massages we offered by licensed massage therapists in our booth were appreciated by all who stopped by.

CONVERGE was an extra-special event for the SKYGEN team this year. We give our deepest thanks to everyone in the NADP community and to our partners at NADP for an exceptional experience!
